Playground & Garden
At Trinity House, outdoor play will be at the very heart of your child’s daily routine. We are truly blessed with the most incredible 140ft garden, a rare find in the heart of urban London, so please come and see all that this has to offer!
Adventurers and Pioneers will play outside whatever the weather. We have a number of covered areas with access to age-appropriate toys and mats, where they can really enjoy the outdoors all year round.
Our youngest children will benefit from walks in the garden during the day and access to quiet areas where the can rest or have a cuddle.
Our Environmentalists and Xplorers will play outside before and after lunch, and benefit from four distinct areas.
We have a paved area for bikes and trikes and a central astro turfed section where children can climb, run, hide and play freely.
This paved area also doubles up as a space where we can enjoy water play throughout the year.
Following our paved area we have a large grassy zone filled with space for our children to explore. Vegetable patches, bug hotels, mud kitchens, rabbit hutches and a camp fire where we gather, sing songs and tell stories!
Lastly, we have our mindfulness zone, a large decked area at the back of the garden reserved for enjoying a quiet moment during a busy school day. We bring our children up here for reading time, meditation and mindfulness throughout the week. This decked area also doubles up as our stage, a spot where children can sing, dance and perform when we arrange class performances.
Our children have spaces to play, to be physical, musical, theatrical and mindful. They have their very own garden to plant seeds, herbs, flowers and see how they grow. They will come home filled with joy (as my boys did) and tell you they “made a sunflower” and watch with excitement as this grows in their own garden!
